Cool Is it a good deal?

I have the chance to buy a 1991 rx-7 turbo2. the dyno sheet saided ti makes 420 hp at the rear wheels. It has no dents paint is in good shape. new tires 225 45 17 front 275 40 17 rear five spead dual friction clutch. the inside is new with a rollbar. I have driven the car it runs like a raped ape the price is 10,000

find out if thats a turbo II engin. if its not and thats a afther market turbo on a none turbo desinged engine. you might wana think twice about buying it. also take it out for a spin and note any hesitation around 3 or so RPMs. turn it on and see how it starts and note any sound! and post miles.

question for you to find out

when did the car laste have its engin rebuild ?
do you get a hesitation around 3 RPMs
is that engin a turboII engin and if what mods does it have?
do a compression test!!!!!
look under the chase for rust also on the doors
finde out the miles
and last

ask your self do you really want a rx7? Rx7 by there nature are true sports car and as so need speical attention. they are not for the weekend warriors. they have been known for being very tempermintal and that is * when you are taking about a turbo RX7. espacily one with" 420hp" but personally i wouldn't pay 10,000 for a 2nd gen.

*here is a big 7 buying tip*
pay carfull attention to the owner, yes the owner. see how he keeps the car, does he keep it clean. how does he drive? pay attantion to all the littel d-tails they give you in insight on hows hes been teating the car:-)

yeah but is the engin a turbo II engine? if not if its a n/a engin that just had a turbo installed the engins compression is high and with your 15 psi GREDDY TURBO! in short time you are going to need a rebuild. also it seems to have alot done to it but for that price i'll just buy a 20B engine :-)

its a 90 turbo II why would they put a NA engine in it??, it says it was rebuilt and ported, with hurley seals....

either way your not gonna be able to tell what rotors they used iwth out pulling the engine apart so it doesnt even matter....

high comp rotors can still make big hp safly, its all tuning, ignition timing and A/F ratios...
