b2200 clutch in 87' n/a rx7
alright, the rx7 needs a new clutch, but we already have a new b2200 clutch in the garage. we pulled the rx7 clutch tonight, the bolt holes on the pressure plate line up fine, the clutch disks are the same diameter, the thing is that the center shaft on the b2200 clutch disk is about 6mm taller then the rx7 disk center, and the rx7 pressure plate is taller on the sides, but the center where the throw out bearing touchs is about the same. So do any of you have an idea if we could use the b2200, 0r if we are going to run into a problem? Thanks,
If you really need a cheap clutch, autozone's got the pressure plate, clutch disk, and throw out bearing for $149 I think. I bought the kit around 2 year's ago when I knew nothing about quality, and it still holds up and doesn't slip (knock on wood). And if you really want to go cheap just buy the clutch disk itself. I just think the b2200 clutch would eventually mess up since it's spinning so much and some part's don's fit right.
