auxiliary ports sticking again

I have a 89 n/a with around 35,000 on the motor, when I first bought the car the aux ports were not working so I pulled the intake apart and the sleeves were all gummed up. I cleaned everything up real good , I could pull the rod out the solenoid with ease. They worked great for about 6k mi, then after I got back in town from the Rotary Revoultion I thought my car was a little slower, I could still feel the ports kicking in so I thought it was just me getting too use to the power. The other day I was under the hood making sure both aux ports were still free moving buy pulling on that rod that comes out of the solenoid, the frount one was still free as it was but I could not move the back one. So I did feel a power loss, I only had one of my aux ports still working . What could cause it to get gummed up that fast? I have only used Phillips 66 gas in the car except BP once. I don't under stand how it could get gummed up that fast, I put some Outlaw fuel injector cleaner in yesterday, hopefully it can free up that aux port. Does anyone have any ideas why the aux port would get stuck so fast? Anyone else with this problem?

fuel injector cleaner won't help anything unless you keep the RPMs above 4000

So I guess on this tank of gas I should try to stay in some high rpm's. I don't want to pull my intake apart again to free up a aux port for only 6k mi. Is there any way else I could clean it or keep it clean

I put anti-seize on mine, still sliding smooth and fine!

I've noticed that the really gummy nasty stuff in the intake manifold comes from the PCV :O Some people make a catch can for that (I havent yet)

I wonder if that would help?

About six month after cleaning up 5/6 ports, it starts lacking smoothness. They are still working but to make them keep working I sometimes need to keep going over 4K rpm for 10 - 15 minutes on the highway....

When mine started to stick, it was the shafts, not the sleeves.
I would spray a little penetrating oil on where the shaft goes into the LIM.
That freed them up.
