Thumbs down Auxilary fan worthless?

Ok I am removing the A/c and PS systems from my TII and it has that little aux fan should I put it back in when I take out the condenser or should I just put it in the box with the rest of the a/c stuff? I am asking because I don't know if its used other than for the A/c.

It's called an auxiliary fan for a reason. It switches on if the coolant temp exceeds 204degF. If it's there and it works, there's no good reason to remove it.

But isn't it going to be worthless because it won't be "flush" with the a/c condenser?

ye hathest a pm

EDIT: Just want to add my reason for removing all this crap.

It is a major pain working on a car with so many damn hoses and lines on it that I couldn't take it. So I grabbed my wrenches and had at it.

Its still going to be my weekend car. But hell its winter who needs a/c

I disagree, its not really worth anything if the AC is removed. That thing BARELY pulls air over the rad as it is. If your cooling system is up to par, it shouldnt be a necessary item.

What's your basis for claiming that?

Whats your basis for claiming that the fan is worth anything for cars that have removed AC systems?

I asked first.

If the fan is working propery, then it's free additional cooling should it ever be required. That's not worthless IMO.

I just wanna know why you say the fan barely pulls any air.

I'm always in the mood to help save the planet, so ship it to me and I'll make sure that it goes to a good home!

I'll install it on my car!

If you take it off nice and gentle like, save all of the brackets and fastners, I'd even chip in for the shipping!

I like having it. When I get done an autox run I always jumper it so it runs to get some air moving down there between runs.

I have one in my garage that I removed when I pulled my A/C out. Seems like a few of you want one so let me know if you are interested. If not, its going in the can the next time I get around to cleaning out the garage.

sure shot don't wait until the clutch fan fails and you overheat your motor. go with the escort fan now. I have it and it will move twice the air that the stock fan will pull.
