Aux. port sleeve. Stuck after re-install?

Well, I put my aux port sleeves back in, after they had been taken out by previous owner. Problem is, my rear one seems to be very stiff, and not wanting to move. But my front one moves just fine.

Now, originally when I put them in there, I cleaned everything up and made sure they moved smoothly. But when I bolted on the LIM, and all the other manifolds, it seems to be very difficult to move. It moves, but not easily enough that the actuators could move them.

Am I looking at taking everything off again? Or is there something I can do that doesn't require all that?

Thanks!

P.S. When I put the sleeves back in, I didn't use any lubrication, I just made sure everything was dry.

Why NOT lube them.
Did you make sure the sleeve was all the way back in the port?

Those rear actuator an sleeve, do seem to get stuck first don't they.
I have 2 n/a 6 port engines now and both of them have had those problems.

I was under the understanding that you shouldn't lube them because the lube will collect dust, or particles and begin to make the ports stick again. To me it feels like maybe the LIM is pressing against it or something. I don't know, I am going to run some Seafoam through the vacuum there and hopefully clean up whatever is in that area.

Any other ideas would be great! Thanks!

I sucked Seafoam through the middle nipple on the UIM (S5). Only a little bit though, probably 2-3 seconds, with the RPM at approx. 3k. Then turned the car off for about 10 minutes and during that time moved the actuators up and down every once in a while.

Then started the car and let it run for a while.

This freed up the sleeve. Nice and smooth now. Maybe a little gunk was in there still.

Thanks.
