Talking Autozone Pilot bearing removal! Less than one minute:)

Yeah, Autozone rocks it.

I rented the pilot bearing puller and the slide hammer. After I ground down the pilot bearing remover a little bit...it took about four blows of the slide hammer and it was out. Unreal! And that was with the E shaft sitting on my bench

The grinding is more than just a little... I got that autozone stuff and had to take like 60% of the teeth off in order to fit it in there. Not that it matters, just saying.

I should have measured it before I started grinding. But when I was done I think the two jaws were 0.58" and the ID of the PB was .60"

YEah, it worked so damn well...destroyed the bearing though. The rolly things were everywhere

The local rotary community has modified 8 or so of those bearing pullers from Autozone. They keep getting new ones! Last time I rented it I just kept the whole thing. I've used it several times since and no more grinding before I do.

Talking

Actually, Glad I got lucky...glad it worked out in the Eshafts end?

With my dremel and a 80 grit sanding whee I spent about 10 minutes grinding it down.

Yeah, if I keep blowing my enigne I am going to just buy the damn things.

Geez, about 40 bucks for the puller AND the slide hammer. Rather cheap.
