Autothority Stage II chip (turbo II)

I pulled the ecu out of my turbo II b/c the previous owner told me it was chipped . I assumed it was an rtek v1.5 b/c he had a seperate fuel cut switch to unflood the engine . The v1.5 is the only one that did not have that option . So anyway i was hoping it was a v1.5 so i can have it upgraded to a 1.7 . so when i cracked it open to confirm before i shipped it out i found a tag in there that said "Autothority Eng Performace Stage II" . I went to the Autothority website and ran a quick search on here but i couldn't find any concrete features . The Autothority website doesn't go nearly into as much detail as digital tuning does with the rtek . I just want to know what i have to see if its worth using until i go stand-alone or rtek 2.0 . Any info is appreciated . Thanx

just a lil fact butautothority makes some really good chipped ecu's for 996 turbos, so theyre quality. not sure about them with rotaries but they do a kickass job on other cars.

Yeah i also picked up on that fact when i was searching , but i've been visiting this forum for over 5 years and i never really heard anything about them rx7 related . I never even knew this chip existed until about 2 hours ago .

There is nothing that has anything to do with the stock ECU that's going to come close to what a competent stand-alone EMS can offer, period.

I used to run one of those things, and I found the code really crappy.
The car ran rich, and my current G-Force rechipped ECU runs a lot cleaner.
The car used to pop and bog a lot with the Autothority.
BTW, the now defunct RPM Performance used to sell those ECU's although Autothority did the chip work.
I think all they did is remove the fuel cut and back the timing off - that's what it felt like when I had it running.

I know that , this was going to be for temporary use only . It sounds like it may not even be worth it to use . Im just going to get the rtek v1.7 for now and when it comes time to upgrade i'll go stand alone or 2.0 . Thanx for the info .
