Arrow auto to manual conversion

Hey,
Can somone please give me advice on converting an '88 from auto to manual? Any links, past experiences. Anybody know where it can be done in australia and for how much$$.

Also how do the auto's run compared to a manual? Is there much difference in acceleration speed?

Thanks in advance

i will be most likley paying to get the job done. I dont think i have the skills or the time to do the conversion myself. The problem that i see at the moment is parts, and how much it is going to cost.

Thanks alot ill read up on that site

If you are going to pay to have it done, it may not be worth it. You will probably be better off buying a 5-speed car. Or maybe buying a 5-speed car with a blown motor and putting your motor in it. An N/A RX7 with a blown motor can be had for $500 or so; and the motor swap is simple.

heh, i think i may be the all time loser when it came to this swap... i've got about 2 grand invested in it because i didn't think it through... on the other hand, im only about a week away from driving a car thats been down for 6 months (quite a few mods got done in that time.) I'm really looking forward to it. The biggest problem is running into issues of not having the right parts...

wooo, I did this with a 72 Opel GT last spring. Fun with a capital F!

Of course, I had to drop out the engine to do it, which I don't believe you have to do in this case. Good luck, is all I can say
