An attempt to steal my car last night!
WEll, i just went out to my car to go to work and my ignition is fu@@ked up. they completely pulled it apart and stole my faceplate to my cd player since they couldn't get the whole system out.
the crappy thing is, they pulled and cut tons of wires trying to figure out my setup.
I am very thankful that i have a separate fuel system from the ignition, it was this that prevented them from taking the Turbo II.
i found a pair or red sunglasses that fell off of the perpetrator as he was working.
they also stole a bunch of stuff from the car including my badge for a high security work area. uh oh.
crap, now i need a new ignition.

That sucks man, I feel your pain though. My car was broken into a few months ago. They made off with all my autometer gauges and the pod, the stereo deck, speakers, and only managed to take the front rims.

The ignition is held in place with two screws with no "head" or way to drive them out with, you have to get needled nose clamping pliers and slowly loosen it. Its a pain, i changed the ignition on my project car recently. Sorry about your run in with the low lives. What kind of alarm did you have?

they didn't cut it, they ripped apart the whole assembly, and stuck a screwdriver in the ignition lock. i went out and found random wires laying on the floorboard and was like, oh crap.

well theres only so many waires thankfully, and they're all color coded. You need to get a better alarm than the factory one. Clifford makes a 2-way alarm that pages your keychain, lighting it up and beeping, and it shows what part of the car is being messed with (door, trunk/hatch, hood, etc.) range on them is fair. I've heard a few times that insurance companies give discounts if oyu buy a good alarm or osmething of that nature. you do have insurance right?
