How do you get the ATF into the chambers? through the plug holes? If that's the case, what's the easiest way? funnel, I guess? I did a search, couldn't find anything.

 

Use a long funnel or turkey baster to put it through the lower plug holes only.

 

You can do that or find a vacuum line to put it in, make sure it does run into the intake though.

 

On a turbo II, find the BAC on the pass. side of the intake. There is a ? shaped hose on top of that, remove it. Insert a hand oil pump into the now exposed large nipple, which FYI splits evenly between both primary intake runners, which run directly to the engine. Pump away, let sit for a few moments, crank, etc.

THere is also such a shortcut on a s4 NA, but I have not yet found one on a s5 NA.

 

By the way, don't do the "ATF trick" unless your engine is heavily flooded or carbon locked. There is no reason to put ATF in a healthy engine.
