ATF trick question
When an fc is heavily flooded, should the atf trick be used on only low compression motors, or on all of them?

I've heard so many mixed opinions on it, some like JRAT suggest using mmo, some atf, and others say never use anything unless its an extemely low compression flooded motor...

I've heard mixed opinions as well. I put some in my engine back in october when the car would be out of service over the winter. I hand turned the engine (no tranny at the time) once every week or so. The week before starting her up I added some MMO and turned the engine over by hand daily.
When it came time to start her up, she started within a half crank (had to hold throttle though, engine modifications and manifold rework created a huge vac leak).
this is what she will probably do when you start her up though: This is a three car garage... visibility = nill.

this is my favorite picture from when we started. The engine had been running for about 5 minutes, then we turned it off. This is 5 minutes after turning her off

The shop floor was so saturated (even though its sealed cement) with gear lube, tranny fluid, gas, coolant, and oil (basicaly we drained caught as much fluid as we could, and then left everything unplugged. We had to throw down 10lb floor dry under the car just to keep from coming back up looking like a grease monkey
