Question Aquamist install?

Has anybody delt with this in their car? I am considering the 1s system for my car. The aquamist website says with a top mounted intercooler it would be best to install the jet before the intercooler. But in the pictures of an rx-7 with it. It was installed after the IC.

Any thoughts?

James

Man i started a thread a while ago that got real heated. Basicly some people....(Node should remember.) said that it was a bandage for poor tuning. Tell that to the F1 teams of the 80's. I myself will be taking it up, and making it work with my haltech.

I do not believe it is a bandaid at all. Hell F1 did it. WWII aircraft running turbo/supercharger combos ran it. Turboprop aircraft run it (Metroliner). B-52s run it.

I was thinking about it but I believe my radiator just died. So the money is going else where.

Think I read though that post fastrotaries. 50 some posts?

The biggest argument I saw about trying to enhance the stock intercooler was that the scoop on TII hoods doesn't get air at speed, because it is a low pressure area. It may have worked in F1 because they had airflow.

The type of injection I am talking about is into the intake air. There is plenty of air flow.

However, I believe at speed the intercooler gets cooled nicely.

Thte I/C at speed does cool flow nicely. Your water injection should be a high pressure system. Minimum, more pressure than the intake tract contains at boost. The location of the injection nozzles is somewhat like nitrous you want the air to completely atomize, and never puddle. this means injecting it in a high turbulant area. The cast aluminum elbow is a greast place for that. N20 too!. I was going to use a 8-10% Nitromethane to distilled water solution.
