Question Apexi SAFC install--HELP!!!!!!

can someone tell me which wire (color & location) to tap into for the a/f line (at the ecu)--so that i can hook it up to my SAFC (that blue wire thats left unused). i read that this can be done. then i can see how rich or lean im running thru the voltage reading. the instructions that came with the SAFC doesnt show it.

any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Go to http://www.fc3s.org and look under the How-To's section. I believe there is something on installing a SAFC in there. Let me know how it works out for you, I may be installing one in the near future.

I have an ECU diagram for a 89-91. If oyu want it, post your email address and I will send it to you.

But to answer your question, the O Sensor line is located (if you are looking from the passenger seat w/ the harness latch on top...as you should be when you pull the carpet and metal shield off). It is the middle harness (smallest of the three) in the middle. The pin is the second top from the right (near the second biggest connector side).

Since you are in there, you might as well run an extra splice so you can connect an A/F meter later. Or better yet, go buy an A/F meter now and install it at the same time.

Hope that helps,

Jay

That is one sweet *** idea. I work in the city, where cars get broken into frequently....I was reluctant bout the S-AFC mounting for that reason (below the head unit atleast), didn't want to go with a glove box mount, cause well....i'd like to be able to reach it!) THANKS FOR THE IDEA!!!

808SavannaRX-7,

Check your mail. just sent the .pdf to you.

The AFC is slightly longer and taller than the length and width of the ash tray. My is mounted in front of the clock/light cluster via the included mounting hardware. if you manage to fit it in the ash tray, can you post it? I would be very interested to see how someone can do it. Catch ya later...

Jay

i'm not talking about putting it in front of the ash tray, i'm talking about putting it where the ash tray goes in... i want to take out the ash tray and put the safc there. then figure out a way to mount the ashtray lid so i can cover the safc when i park my car... i don't know if you can imagine that... when i get it, and put it in i'll post pics.

It's actually not in front of the ashtray.. the ashtray was removed and the s-afc put in it's place.. the ashtray lid would still fit and cover up the s-afc as long as you cut the hinged portion off.. I dind't feel like doing that..
