Apexi S-afc Question

Are they car specific, or is the S-afc just an S-afc.
For example, when buying an S-afc, would I need to specify that its for a 91 Rx-7, or are they all the same?
Thanks guys,
(sorry for the dumb question)

yeah, they're all the same man. as long as its an s-afc and not a v-afc you're fine.

I thought you could use the v-afc, because all it added was enhancements for v-tec engines. I guess I was wrong.

i hear of people using the V-AFC, but i dont know what exactly is different, i think the only real differnce is the V-tec solinoid wire, just dont hook that up and dont play with the v-tec part and just use the fuel controler part and im pretty sure its the same. Someone care to back this up or shut it down? like i said im not too sure, but i dont see why not.

yeah, i think that V-AFC is nothing but an S-AFC that also controls Vtec kick in timeing, like where you want the vtec to change the cam timing. Other than that, its just an S-AFC i beleive, i may be wrong, but i know people are using them and are just fine.

Great idea, but I believe the V-afc tells the ECU when to apply the "v-tec." Doubt that it would work the same on our ecus(well NA guys ECUs ).
