Anyone using an electric water pump?

I am just wondering if anyone is using one... if so what one are you using and what did you do with the mech. pump? Also how did you connect the electric pump.. what did you modify ect ect

I've done it. Not worth any power gains, a bitch to set-up.

Just wondering why you would? Isn't a mechanical waterpump more reliable and less likely to fail?

electric water pumps are mostly meant for extreme race use which also means they dont last as long as the stock mechanical ones do. Correct me if im wrong but i remember researching them and most people only got 2500 hours out of them. i believe that was an average. w/the electric pump, if the motor burns out your completly out of all luck as opposed to a mechanical water pump -alex

Yep. About 2000 or so hours before rebuild of the waterpump.

I guess I will just go with the dual alt belts.
