Does the spoiler on the rx7 collect rust? has anyone ever had any problems with rust due to the spoiler?

I think jarod is asking if the spoiler rusts the car where it meets the body. My car has some slight rust around the bolt-holes. I cleaned them up and sprayed them with anti-rust paint.

Seems ok now.

i got some rust on mine aswell (around the bolt holes and the very end of the spoiler where it meets the rear 1/4 panel), it doesnt look good at all. im just waiting till i paint the rexy then im a get a new spoiler and get rid of the rust. ive been tolerating it so far. i know i gotta get on it soon though cause that rust **** is a cancer that slowy eats your car up.

any place that can trap moisture for extended periods of time, ie the spoiler, has the good chance to rust.

Okay, cause I was thinking, to me, the cars don't look good without a spoiler, and the only spoiler I'd ever have is the stock one..So I just wanted to know. You've all been very pleasing and helpful. Thank ya!

So, if I got a car, with a stock spoiler, and took it off, would I see any water damage at all? If so, how much (ballpark) would it costt to make it look pretty?
