I am currently using one, there was a recent thread about it, see here: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/jdm-rx7-turbo-knight-sport-power-chip-fc3s-561785/

Let me know if you have any more questions about it and i can try answer them from my experiance

Looking at the ebay ad
Is it just a chip you have to solder in yourself or is it the whole ecu?
If it's the ecu, $15 is a bargain and I'd snap it up in a second, I payed $150au for mine about a year ago
Oh and I don't know about the no rev limit claim, as I've managed to bounce off redline with mine numerous times.

its a socket you solder in, and you can swap either this chip or the stock one in and out of the socket without soldering

Do you really trust your car with a universal chip?

i knew there was a reason i ignored this thread. the only "chip" i have seen worth a damn or that won't cause a crapload of problems with your car is the Rtek chips from pocketlogger.com

i don't remember a single thing from knightsports that cost less than $100 so the seller is a liar as well.

trust your engine with a liar? then go for it.

that chip is just a copied version of the original knightsport chip
it is like running a burnt cd on your computer, nothing wrong with it, when you solder it - MAKE SURE pin 1 is lined up before you plug it in...

basically, if you use this chip, FORGET about running 87 octane in your T2, it wont work anymore. You also get a built in FCD, slightly more agreesive timing, and richer at the mid-range (3-5krpm). it also takes away the rev limiter, and yes it will rev to 10k just like that if you are not careful....

The real Knights Sports ECU tuning (I don't think they sell the chip by itself, persay, they sell customized ROM tuning based on your car's setup) costs upwards of a thousand dollars...

yea, anyone who wants to stop by my house can have that thing...
my main concern from the beginning, was how can you have a generic 'tuned' chip? i mean what if you have larger/smaller injectors, larger/smaller turbo, etc etc...
as far as im concerned, you cant have 'universal' tuning on a modified car. they are all different.
ill just stick with safc until i save for microtech. so anyone in jersey, step up and run this on your car. itll be great. i accept no responsibility.

that is not what it is
it is designed for stock injectors and stock turbo and stock ports, but optimal performance out of it.
