Anyone have a T04S on their TII?

I was looking to see if anyone had a T04S on their TII. I am looking into buying one but wanted to know spool up time, HP, Boost, 1/4 times etc etc. Also, I was looking at this site and needed to know which would suit me best. Thanks for any and all info.

I have one and it's from cheapturbo. It's .96 hot and .70 cold. I also went with water cooled. I love the turbo, I have yet to do any full throttle runs, but it seems to spool very quickly. The power is awsome, but again no full throttle runs. (only 1300miles on engine). I would highly recommend cheapturbo though. Great place. Sorry I can't give you more numbers, but believe me it's ******* sweet.

I have read around they can make "up to" 470rwhp, but never seen any dyno runs from a TII with one. Do you think they can make that much on an FC? I am looking for a turbo that spools the fastest(since it is a street car) and can get me as close to 10s as possible. I was looking into T78s and other big ones but I don't need 600hp. Plus T04s are cheaper to rebuild. Do water cooled ones stay cooler or last longer or anything? Just wondering. Thanks.

I think OPEC has that turbo on his S5 TII. Check with him.

i'd look towards the FD numbers as well, there isn't too much difference in the port size that the numbers with the same setup are going to be dramatically different. A local guy put down 404whp with on over the weekend, more impressive was the 380ftlbs. Alot of this is going to be in the tuning as well, I'm presuming that you'll be using a haltec or something like that, for a 10 second run you might want to go a bit bigger on the turbo though, T66 would be a safe bet, however if you want fast spool you may have to look at some of the GTseries ball bearing stuff.

The "TO4S" is another name for the Garrett T04S04 or TS04.&nbsp They should all be the same turbo.&nbsp The numbers run about the same for the 60-1 or T04E-60 turbos.&nbsp They have the capacity to make 400hp to the wheels.&nbsp The 60-1 are a little more efficient at lower boost (up to 15psi), but the TS04 is more efficient at higher boost levels (above 15psi).

Hope this helps...

Well I am going to be going with a microtech at the same time as the larger turbo. I was thinking of a T66, but they seem to be pretty slow spooling and have nothing on a T78. I would love to get in the 10s but a low 11 or so would be fine. Maybe get a small shot of N20 to get me into the 10s for the track.

The only A/R numbers you should worry about is the turbine or hot side.&nbsp The compressor side A/R really doesn't mean anything.&nbsp For a collected turbo manifold, go with a .8x A/R.&nbsp Divided turbo manifold can get away with "two steps up" to like 1.1x or 1.2x.&nbsp Turbine A/R dictates power band...

I'm going to say the .96 for turbine a/r. But thats just my opinion. It's going to slow down spool a little, but the top end I think is more useful.

How much power can the s4 block take before it needs to be reinforced? I think I remember something about extra dowell rods needed as you start going above 400 rwhp as the motor actually starts to twist and flex.

Ryde or Die, if you ever go through with the turbo swap, I'll take that t04 hybrid off your hands

you're right, you can't get much higher than 400rwhp before you have to dowel the block. I guess some people have probably gotten 450.

We usually use these numbers as a guide...

Zenki 13BT - 500hp
Kouki 13BT - 600hp
FD 13B-REW - 650hp
