Anyone have custom dashes? Aluminum... track cars. Pics?
Looking for ideas on making my dash... no radio, just gauges.
My goal with the car is to make everything extremely easy to work on...
So either the dash can be VERY easy to remove, or make the top hinged or something to access wires easily. The interior is completely stripped, and will concist of two seats, custom dash, and aluminum plates over the doors/window area. That's it. Everything's getting re-wired color coded and documented. Like I said, I want every system on the car so easy to work on/diagnose I could fix damn near any electrical gremlin in an hour.
Even some help on the best way to make a template will be nice.
Thanks!

Not really what your asking, but just an idea.
I have seen a few track cars, with the stock dash, fully gutted. And the stock gauge panel. But the stock gauges were all removed, and had auto meter gauges in the stock location.
The stock dash with every taken out.. only weighs about 15lbs.. just about as much as aluminum would weigh.
Thought I'd just throw that out there, as that is what I will be doing for my track car. Although i know you were looking for something else. Thought maybe you would like to hear it.
Let see some pics of people's dashes!

not a great pic but was all i have on my computer its what i did to mine i also raised the fuse box and put it on the hole that the large vent is normally in next to the steerin wheel. a small ally panel and it fits great easy to get to and work on. just cut the dash down. It looks better now stuck the dash to the ally with some black silicone so the edges look nice.
