anyone have an additional injector controller?

i was checking out the HKS AIC and i thought it would be a great way to add some fuel throughout the powerband. its rpm and boost activated so you could have the extra injector(s) come on at like 3k rpms til redline over 5psi of boost or whatever. is anyone running a setup like this? i have some extra TII injectors this would be perfect for...

It's a crude and outdated method. An S-AFC controlling bigger injectors is much better and even costs about the same.

what? how is it more crude than an safc? and what do you do about the 3800rpm fuel pressure drop when you're using an safc? you can have the additional injector come on at any rpm you want (read: before the fuel pressure drop to compensate)

Hey, it works.

If you're dead set on using an AIC, get the e-manage. I think it will work great for hybrid turbo owners.

The delievery of the additional fuel is adjusted with a screwdriver; that's what is calling crude. Yes, to use the safc properly you would want to put in larger injectors and then tune them down.

I use a oldschool hks aic, works great!

Tuning is a lil tricky due to playing with 4 turn ***** though. I've seen AIC's on ebay go for $100.

An injector that is either on or off. Only two adjustments (when and how much). A screwdriver! How is this not crude? A well-tuned S-AFC adjusts fuelling smoothly through the rev and load range. It is a far more sophisticated device.

There is no drop in fuel pressure caused by an S-AFC. You only get a momentary incorrect mixture if you use different sized primary and secondary injectors, but this is still no where near as bad as simply turning on another injector, and the resulting instant rich mixure (and power drop) this causes.
