right now i am running front and rear strut tower bars, floor cross bar, suspension techniques sawybars, tokicko hp shocks, tein s-tech springs. but i suggest to go with tenabe gf210 springs, and KYB AGX fully adjustible shocks. those are what i am switching over to. but the setup i have now works just fine.

I drift mine. I run KTS coilovers, poly bushings, DTSS eliminators, cheap front and rear strut bars. I think thats it...

Your set up will be okay to learn with. I only have KYB Gr-2's and some Tein springs. Only now after I've practiced so much do I realize how crappy it is. I need a coilover set up because these aren't stiff enough. But that set up should be good to learn with, along with an LSD and you're fine. Try open diff. drifting too. It's very possible and when you get LSD you'll appreciate it much more. You can get all the suspension stuff but try it with your set up now and get good like that. That's exactly what I did. Now I wanna spend serious money on good stuff.

And by the way where in P.R. do you live? I got fam there and go there about once a year. Have fun my boricua brotha...haha good luck.

ahh give him a break. Plus when you search sometimes those things are old, and it's a new era. And it's also better getting advice told to you, than just reading it from someone else's thread. Enough of this "go search!" stuff, he jus needs help to.

Well if you want to know how to not set up your car...I run coilovers, have a wider front track (front wheels are a little further out than the rears) and I took out the rear swaybar. I don't like oversteering, and with this setup the car's nice and neutral.

i met a kid today that had a FC who drifts and his is bone stock. he uses the body roll to link turns. he has the stock suspension thing figured out. tho it wouldnt hurt to replace the worn out things to.

hey bro, thanks for the tips man, i live in canovanas puerto rico. im pretty close to the speedway and i go there pretty often, but just seeing cars going in straight lanes it make me do something different so im going to start drifting since in my opinion is way better and more entairtaining than drag. thanks again bro.

I drift my crown vic.
I find myself throwing my old BMW 528e daily driver into drifts every once in a while ;-)

It's kinda gutless (auto with the low revving ETA motor) but for a big old sedan it's a lot of fun to throw around - and I can get it to break loose a lot easier than the FC, or at least at speeds that frighten me a lot less. The handling is pretty impressive for a big old hunk of junk with a bone stock suspension, I was keeping up with a friend's Focus SVT autocross car through the corners one night - though it scared the hell out of my passenger ;-)

Adjustable struts adjust the dampening or firmness of the suspension. they do not affect ride height. Only coilovers are adjustable in that way.

I have noticed a big difference with only kyb agx's done in the suspension dept.
I like to take out the fc and have fun sliding it occasionally.

I see you're on the east side of the Island. My uncle, and cousin live in that general area in Fajardo. Good stuff.

But anyway back to cars. I think you should be okay for now. Just remember to keep it safe and fun. Otherwise you'll learn the hard way just as I did, but I am a stubborn bastard. Although the mountains up in El Yunque sure seem like fun. Well, good luck and let's see the car! Even if it's stock.

right now, stock suspension. tighter in the back than in the front. stock set up completely until i order my dtss eliminators.

here's a few sites someone on here gave me that are pretty helpful.

http://www.splparts.com/
http://www.mmr-direct.com/
http://www.secretelement.com/newparts.html

this is pretty in depth on drifting an FC https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/advantages-fcs-have-against-compeditors-drifting-532520/

and just something to keep you in place as long as you dont have a S5 with the automatic seatbelts =)
http://www.cg-lock.com/index.html

good luck drifting and be safe. its tons of fun.

the very most important thing you can get is well built lsd, and the stock car itself is very balanced so throwing that off in the rear by just a little will help too (aka rear sway bar/roll bar) and make sure your brake hard ware is up to the task ( fresh pads with higher temp friction material, new brake lines or SS lines) other than that with stock wheels and a stock motor all you'll need is practice, for example look at how some people set up their AE86 corollas low power high potential
