You want to take off the turbo or take the turbo/manifold off too as one unit?
Taking it off as one unit easier but for my first try, I took off the turbo. Its not hard, just have to know where to look. The lower bolts are easy to get to. The ones on the right can be taken out with an extension bar. 6 inch extension bar should be enough. The lower left can be taken out of the wrench. The upper left is harder to take out since you won't have much room but if you get under the car, u can get it out with a wrench. I used a hammer on my wrench to break the bolt loose though. Oh, make sure you already took off your downpipe.
The manifold/turbo is easy. Just remove all hoses and hard lines and then come in from the side. The left ones need to be taken out from the bottom to make it easier.

Ya, no real tricks.. IMO: pull it out from the top, but remove and loosen it all from underneath. I pulled mine both times off the manifold, left the manifold in place.
