Any regards to this Boost Controller? - with pic

I'd like to know more about this. I believe It's the II Version. It's the HKS EVC Boost Controller that includes EVC controller, wiring harness, and solenoid unit.

The Price Is Definetly Right. (Way below the suggested $200 too).

Tony, I have seen Greddy Profec-B's on Ebay for around $150.

Its arguably the best boost controller around.

Ok, its not as flashy as an Apexi ACV-R for instance, but for controlling and maintaining boost its top notch.

I think it's an EVC I; it's has LOW, HIGH, and variable boost settings.&nbsp I think the EVC II has just LOW, MED, HIGH boost settings which cannot be adjusted on the fly like front **** of the EVC I; boost settings are adjusted via rear dashpots.

The one thing I would worry about is the center fitting in the solenoid valve itself has been replaced with a brass fitting.&nbsp All three should be like the two end ones - white plastic.&nbsp This means the unit was damaged at one time.

Whatever the case, these things were expensive back in the day.&nbsp Brand new, they listed like $700!

Now, these things were NOT closed-loop feedback some of the fancier boost controllers like some units released later (i.e. HKS EVC III ATM and A'PEXi Super AVC-R).&nbsp I love my A'PEXi Super AVC-R (Gen I), and I wouldn't use anything less.

Bottom line, the unit isn't worth more than $200 max, maybe drop it down to $150 due to the broken center fitting.

I have just like it...sitting on my desk because I bought it off ebay and the stepper motor that monitors the boost is dead.

Actually, all three of my valves are brass custom by Tri-Point Engineering.

It finally came In. That EBC that was sent me Is missing an auxilliary Harness. I have the main one, the one going from the EBC to the Solenoid Valve, but the Harness (to the back right of the EBC has a Harness too. It's respective plug Isn't plugged Into anything. Or comes with an attahment. Where does It go? Whats It's purpose?

Thanks! Thats what I gathered. It's a plug for optional featues I could use with the EBC. I didn't have the Install Manual until just now. I downloaded from HKS' site. No biggie and It Is something I can do with out.

I cleaned It up and It looks fantastic!
