any racing manifolds for ti on stock turbo

making a manifold for the stock turbo, i was thinking of doing it cuz, i have a bunch of friends that have done to there psiton motors on stock turbo and helps out alot they said ?????? what u guys think

but the stock turbo will only get you so far. 250hp safely. when you replace the turbo you'll need to replace the manifold again.

I don't know too much about the BNR turbos but if they are made out of stock cores then your idea might be perfect, but again, it depends on the BNR turbos. In the end it doesn't seem very cost effective to me, maybe others will have better input though.

BNR retains the stock manifold and can be capable of 400+ hp. No need to build you're own manifold.

ssautochrome use to make an stock replacement. You may want to try ebay to see if they still make it.

I think it would be cool if you could make one for a reasonable price that also allows you to have an external waste gate. that way you could make boost a little more reliable.

ss autochrome makes a s4 direct replacement for around 100
re amemiya makes a s5 direct replacement for around 700

how is the quality on those? and it brings up the BNR issue. If you want a BNR then the SSA won't work cus it's for t04s or something. right?

Bottom line:

The stock turbo (we aren't talking about hybrids right now) will only get you so far....even if you constructed an equal length runner, crazy *** custom mani. with the one-off flange for the stock turbo......you're not going to get much more HP than you would on the stock mani.

If you're using a hybrid....it remains to be seen whether or not an aftermarket mani. would net more power......but we know you can approach 400 to the wheels with a hybrid on a stock manifold - so why bother? Looks? If its for the purpose of an external wastegate then just add one to the S4 manifold.....its been done.

the quality of either is great... re amemiya seems to have better welds... both should last longer than the hybrid...

The BNR Turbos are bullet proof in my opinion. I have a s5 stage 3 or 4 (what ever is the top one for the s5) and it has been really reliable and has put out great power. I have had it on the car since early 2002 and put over 30k on it. My motor tossed an apex and the upgraded turbine survived. I now have a REW (freshly built and ported by jamespond24) to take its place and will be re-using the 60-1 hybrid and expect 450 horse out of it. Just my 2 cents.

the stocker is fine, i would only replace it if the stock manifold is beginning to crack.

SSAC manifolds are fine so long as you make sure there is no exhaust leaks or i would suspect they would warp where the cast iron is pretty damn bulletproof against warpage.

i doubt there is any gains from going to a different manifold design, i run the SSAC manifold now and i didn't see a huge gain in power but you save about 5lbs in weight, ugliness and simplicity.
