any one have a mazda compression tester?

hey i was wondering if anyone in the WA area has a mazda compression tester? i know they're pricey... but just seeing if anyone has one. i've tested my car with a piston compression tester and i got really really low readings. so low that my car shouldn't be running like it should. thanks for any help!

did you remove the check valve from the tester so the guage bounces rather than builds pressure? the peak of each bounce is your running compression, do not trust static compression with the valve installed in the tester, it will always read low.

yeah i did that. and i had the throttle body all the way open too. the first two times i forgot to do that and it read 55 psi. then the last time i got 60 psi. i don't even think i could run my car if it was that low.

my car ran on 30 psi but it flooded out quite easily, did you just do a rebuild?

no. i replaced the plugs one day and it flooded. someone told me that i should get my injectors cleaned and then another person told me to check my comp. and that might explain my flooding. so i think that's what the problem is. i called a rotary place and they said that 86 is min. psi. if i do have to do a rebuild i think i'll just do a turbo swap. but i don't have the money for it yet so i hope it doesn't die on me....yet.

i can't imagine replacing plugs would cause a problem all of a sudden. are you sure you have the spark plug wires in the correct positions?
