Any interest in Custom made lowering springs for the FC?

I have the opportunity to have a line of custom made lowering springs produced for the FC. I can have them made with any spring rate and any measurment of drop.

I'm mostly aiming toward the street crowd, so I'm not looking to get crazy stiff springs that lower the car 4 inches LOL.

Tell me what you guys want. Give me some spring rates that would be nice for most RX-7 drivers that drive their cars everyday also what size of drop would be best from stock ride height.

I can make this happen and sell them for roughly $300 US a set. I can assure you that the quality of these would be only the best, as its an already exsisting spring company from Japan that will be making them.

I'm sure this won't be the popular choice, but how about something that's as stiff or stiffer than most out there yet with only a slight drop, say .75"-1.0"?

Rates in the neighborhood of or slightly stiffer than the RS*R Race would be good (335f, 224r).

I'm running Eibachs on my '89 right now and the ride height is just about right. I could use more rate, but everything that's stiffer (with the exception of GC kits) drops the car way too much.

I agree, something both stiffer and taller than what's currently available. There's a lot of people that want performance without being slammed and without shelling out for coilovers. Something that either increases or doesn't affect wheel/tire clearance in front is good too. Some of the lowering springs give less room than stock, so a previously fitting setup won't fit after the suspension change.

Something in the order of 300/200 with less than a 1" drop should be good, and will save people from having to buy alignment parts to fix the effed up camber from lowering it too much.

Great feedback so far!

If thats what people want, then alright.

So how about something with a 1" drop all around and like mentioned above a 330 Front and a 220 Rear?
I guess this would be aimed towards the street/track crowd

I hadn't thought about additional clearance in the front. That would be a bonus if you could pull it off!

agreed! 1" drop would be perfect.

I'm also in talks with a company in Austrailia that makes struts to have a set of custom valved struts to go along with these springs.

Keep the suggestions coming.

Yea, there's lots of stuff for those who just want soft ride and lowered looks, so I'd think that a niche product like this would be better.
