Any difference with s4/s5 TII TID's?

Currently, I don't have one from my s5 JDM Motor.

With the Air Bypass Valve and the Check Valve on the TID, are they the same within series?

I plan on running custom piping that goes through the wall, under my East Bear Headlights (plenty of room there now) and It ending at the Brake Duct. True cold air!

the S5 TIDs are preffered because they flow better (less resistance).

I'd just get one made. I've seen some on thepartstrader.com or if you know someone that can weld get the measurment of the inlet on the turbo and the afm. It would flow a lot better, the stock ones are like acordians and take way too many bends.

So is that whats comming off the TID? (the Air Bypass Valve and the Check Valve) Becuase I saw a custom TID for about $40 and I noticed that it had nothing comming out of it.

What happens if you dont have these 2 things, what will that do?

Were you referring to mine on ebay? the check valve is plumbed into it, but you can't see it in the pic. The hole for the air bypass valve (bov) is only needed for people using the stock bov. Usually aftermarket ones vent to the atmosphere so it is not needed. I modify them accordingly per customer. So unless you have an aftermarket bov, if you were to get a custom TID, it would have to be plumber for both. I didn't even know there was a diff. b/w the s4 and s5.. I guess you learn something new everyday.

On the series 5 TID, there's an extra nipple for the boost control solenoid.

Aside from that, they're the same.

So the Valves and BOV are the same but the s5 flows better, you are saying?

I posted In the sell/buy forum and am looking for one. Just for a short while. PM me If you are selling.
