NY Anti theft measures?

Thinking about getting a nice momo steering wheel that you can snap off when I park my car around the college? Is this a good way to prevent thieves from taking my car? How much will I need to spend assuming Im gonna pay 200 for the steering wheel. Like what else would i need to buy? Thanks guys

Put a switch in the fuel pump wiring and flip it off when you leave the car. Naturally put it in an area that can't be readily seen.

Turbonut's advice is better than the steering wheel idea.

The fact its a manual car means most punks today can't steal it...

A fuel cutoff is good, but it won't stop them from smashing a window and THEN trying to start the car because they won't know it's there. At least with no steering wheel, they know they can't drive it.
However, if they flatbed it, nothing would help you.

yea but a flatbet is only possible in a driveway i would guess. not a street parking spot around the schooll. but you never know people are crazy. But ummm so I would be spending 300 for the quick release 100 for the hub and 200 for the steering wheel? is that a right price range?

if you want to be extra safe, you can get the NRG hub locks, so if they do have an aftermarket steering wheel on the side they cant put it on your hub and drive it away. but the fuel switch is a great way, my car has that.

kill switch, quick release + hub/steering wheel.. Dont get a popular quick release, i hear the ball bearing types and ebay quick releases go hand and hand.

I'd feel like a badass carrying my steering wheel around campus. If I were you, I'd get a cheap little alarm with some sort of blinking light to go with it, that'd probably be enough to scare off some douche who wanted to try to steal it...

When I installed my keyless entry on my FC it came with a little blinking blue light that I hooked up to the stock security light. Good enough for me
