Amemiya/Tamon Widebody

I am looking for any 7club members that have the Tamon wide body kit on their car. I have been looking into getting it for a while but want to know a bit more about it and maybe get some detailed pics/info

REVERE : Just asking mate, have you looked at HOW much it's going to cost to get this kit shipped to Australia? Or are you one of those rare fc owners that has money and isn't afraid to part with it (like me, well the parting bit ).

Seriously what bits are you after? I have the amemiya front bumper, but will not be ordering the rest till I organise a container in about 3 months. ($1.5K shipping cost for the bumper).

You can order it from tamon design in Japan

Could also order it presumeable through a licenced distributor for Re Amemiya since tamon product's were (are?) advertised in their catalogues. Prices are
here . Not exactly cheap, plus whatever the distributor tacks on. No replica's are available as far as I know for the GT kit (excluding the fc2000 front bar).

Anyone think it's possible to make that kit with a different front cover and pop up lights? I hate the way those headlights look. The front is disgusting, but the sides and rear are beautiful. IMO anyway. ANyone think it's possible?

Yes. The Gt kit comes with front side fenders, rear side fenders and rear. If you'd bother to check the link on prices you would have found it out. Even if you can't read japanese

tim_tim_rx7 : No Prob.

I love that kit. I'd rock it if I could afford it. but for the price of the kit, installation and paint, I could by an FD....

Shipping would be free, I would just have to wait for a mates next shipment. If you are paying $1500 for shipping of one bumper you are crazy, My whole car cost less than that to ship.

I don't think it was that over priced for what it is... I mean that FC2000 costs $1600 on its own
This whole kit is about $1700 and that’s for 4 fenders and a rear bar. But what is a unique and individual car worth? Certainly not a lot of cars with the kit rolling around, least not until somebody copies it.

As to money... I had a local government officer tap the rear of my car recently and insurance quotes were around $2000. As this was under their excess they paid me cash. this kit would cover all the damage done so i could kill two birds with one stone

Good FC's still fetch quite a price over here. I regally see ones much worse than mine go for 15000 AU
I also am rare in my belief that a tough Fc looks better than an FD just personal opinion I guess.

And so did mine, Welcome to the world of international freight rorts.

Cost Breakdown.
Freight and document fee's to Wharf in japan (Saga express). $350
Export Documents and container freights fee's : $700
Customs broker service fee and custom's charges : $350
Delivery : $100 (non metro area)

If you can find me a better deal that doesn't involve "mates rates" Please point in that dirrection.

I'm deffinately crazy, wouldn't have a car setup like mine if I wasn't

*Edit* Should also point out the FC2000 "Kit" costs $1600 Plus Lights ($500 from memory. )

You're not the only one. the majority of FC owners buy fc's only because they can't afford an FD. Me, I'll stick with my fc.

I hope and pray to God no one replicates this aero kit, or else I'll have to kill myself. R-magic wide body has already been done, RE A. parts are 'almost' done.. I'm still debating on rather or not I want to add the TDC additionals to my car, but I think with $2g I'll end up getting the RE A. titanium exhaust.

Revere, pm me for more detailed pics.
