Actually, this jpg https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=X-15

It tells what each pin in that plug on the EM harness inside the passengers foote well do in life. It's the WB and the BW wires that go to the alternator.

In the picture, the half of the plug called EM is the Emissions harness connected to the engine. The half of the plug called F, is on the Front harness.

You'll see in the picture some wire colors with ( ) around the colors. Those are peculiar to a turbo harness. Notice how if you mate a turbo EM harness to a non turbo F harness, that what you end up with is all the wires in the non turbo harness will not have any of the wire colors with ( ) in that plug and your mating a turbo EM harness with it that will have the wrong color wires (different funtions) mating with the non turbo harness. ??????? Make sense?? Does to me anyway.

So you have the WB and BW wires one above the other in the NON TURBO half of the plug mating with wires coming from the Turbo EM harness. Not good.

So you go to the plug in the Turbo EM harness and cut the BrR and the BrB wires about four inches back from the connector. Then run two new wires to those cut off wires from the alternator plug and splice them to the cut wires on the plug.

You don't want the BrR and the BrB wires going there anyway. Dead end the two cut wires that you cut (the ones on the harness side or the plug.

Well.................then just run a switched source of 12vdc to the top pin in the small plug of the alternator. A source of switched 12dc would be from that green six socket check connector near the coil area. Its a black/white wire.

But I think your headed for ruination if you leave the plugs mentioned alone and not changed/fixed/rearranged. I could be wrong. I'm sure others have put a turbo EM harness in a non turbo and made it work out for themselves...........somehow.

its making sense now. So the connector is the big one that plugs into the back of the stock ECU?

My bad. I missed the HALTECH in your post.

No, Not the stock ECU.

The harness that went from the stock ECU to the engine, also had two other large yellow plugs on it inside the passengers foot well. Those TWO did not attach to the ECU.

They connected to another harness inside the passenger foot well. One of those large yellow plugs has THIRTEEN socket in it. Find it.

Once you find that plug, then you run a wire from it to the back of the alternators small, two socket plug (that's probably not there anymore).

So, you need to find the TWO wires in the large yellow plug with 13 pins in it. Once you find that plug, look for two wires. One is Black with a White stripe. The other is White with a Black stripe. They will be one above the other in that large, 13 socket, yellow plug.

You run a new wire from the BW wire in the yellow plug to the alternators TOP pin in the back of the alternator.

You run a new wire from the WB wire in the yellow plug to the altenators BOTTOM pin in the back of the alternator.

There are other ways to do this. I'd post on the HALTECH FORUM and ask the same question. I can think of several other ways to do this, but see what the HALTECH folk do. They had the same situation at one time.

Here's a pinout of the plug attached as a jpg.
