alternator install?

I was wondering if it is easy to change the alternator on my 87 rx7 gxl.

Shure it is easy! Just unsrew the 2 screws that it is mounted to, slip off the belt and disconnect the plug on the rear. Thats it! Installation is reverse removal :-))

Might not want to forget to disconnect the battery, and disconnect the main 12V (small bolt holds it on) from the alt. My $.02. `

S4 NA's Alternators are the easiest to handle of all the series.

Just remember to reinstall the spacer at the bottom on the long bolt or you will distort the case and smoke the belt.

tks people..i think i'll give it a try this weekend everywhere i call wants to charge 150 for the alternator then 40 bucks labor when autozone will sale me one for 99 bucks if i bring the old one back.
