Alright Do I need another one in the family?
I currently own an 88 LX, my first. Paid $1400 from a dealer 6 years ago, an 87 GLX, bought with no title, no tranny, and unknown motor for $400.Two 86s, one a GXL, bought for $400 at a repo lot woth "bad valves on the written on the windsheild. Now its the daily.
The other a 2+2 with moon roof, auto tranny, and aluminum hood, Bought last week for $400. Good strong motor. It was a trade in for a used car lot and the guy didn't know what to do with it. No the girl drives it.
The opportunity has now come to buy:
an 87 GXL with few mods, but I think the torque converter is locked. Motor sounds great. But I can get it for $350.
Another 87 GXL for $200. been sitting a while, but known to run when the guy went to prison or something.
And for $250, I can haul a 79 that used to run strong and was a weekend racer (sort of). But has been parked for 3 years after it was broken into and the radio stolen. (I don't know why they didn't get a new radio instead).
Any way? Do I NEED all of these cars? I am running out of room at the house, I could use a second parts car.
I could get my current cars better, cheaper. I would of course get as many of the new ones running, which would eliminate it as a parts car. What if all of them run fairly easily?
I have wanted a first gen as a project. But I have other projects in the works too.
All of this turmoil is out of love. I loved my first before I left the lot with it. These are great cars. I never sell them. I fix them. My current parst car is morphing into a drag only car. I want 10 seconds form an n/a.
I think I need to at least get one. mabey two. I can afford all three easily...
I think I'll go for a drive.
