All dash lights went out?

Can someone help me? I was driving along a couple of days ago and all of the sudden all my dash and radio lights went out, I've tried searching with not much luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the reply, I'll go check them right now! I just bought the car a few days ago, it's an 89 GXL and I love it, then this happened and I was afraid to drive it! Thanks!

Have they come back on?

I was having the problem that my dash lights would turn off, or go to full dim, and then come back on again when it wanted to. Tracked the problem down to the dimmer control on the headlight switch. Rigged it with a bypass wire and now it works fine, although I no longer have my dims and if I attempt to use the dimmer switch with the parking lights on the headlights open and close like crazy.

But the headlights and interior lights work. Good bandaid until I feel like buying a new switch.

warning warning you posted - BOGUS INFO

It won't be the fuse unless the parking lights are out as well.

more than likely the light switch has burnt out which has been covered 1000s of times.

either that or he has the dimmer all the way down.

But I would bet he has a burnt light switch.
