Air Pump Question
alright i have a question...
I hav a non-turbo and everytime a shift it makes sort of a blow off sound.
i believe (or at least think) that this sound is coming from the airpump hose...
i have them all just lying around going nowhere because i have aftermarket exhaust...
so my question is how do I make this sound louder...
and which hose is the intake to the airpump and which is the outlet...

HOLY ****. I know where the sound comes from... I know you no longer will pass smog... I'm guessing the little tube that connects to the stock cat was left disconnected when you put in that FULL DUAL exhaust in. Don't just disconnect the hose to ur airpump... Also I know you may want to put a BOV on the air pump... make sure u put the spring to the softest setting. GOODLUCK! jk don't do it unless you have the acv blocked off properly. Theres no point to this.. so wtf... uhh.. Post pics of this modification and make a write up!! it will be awesome.

my dad plugged the air pump hose leading to the exhaust...
so now i have a plug hose where it usually goes in the exhaust...
i have a feeling this is not good for the air pump...
but im gonna make something that would blow off the air.
ill put pics up after

You know, Ricers and RX-7s DON'T MIX!!!
The Rotary engine will not stand for it (It will self-destruct should you feed it rice)
Feed it oil and it'll be happy!

I'll go against the current and actually help you with the ricer project. The rear hose coming off your air pump leads to the ACV intake at the front. The hose at the back of the lower intake manifold goes to the cat and comes from the ACV split air passage - this is the one that is blocked off as you said - keep in mind you need air to it if you have a cat still. The ACV dump to atmosphere comes out of the ACV pipe pointing to the right shock tower. In factory configuration, there's a hose connected to it and leads to two silencers, one of which is mounted below the right headlight. If you can hear the sound, your ACV probably doesn't have this hose connected - that's where the sound is coming from when you let off the gas.
If you want to make the sound any louder, maybe a hose coming out of a hole in the hood or a microphone tapped into your sound system will do the job. Enjoy!
