Air Intake Box
I,m looking for a Good air intake system for a 87 s4 t2, does anyone out there have any ideas, I've seen a few but I dont know who makes the best system and where you can get them .
Are you talking about the turbo inlet duct? theres 2 things you can do 1 just find a 45* 3" bend and some couplings and make your own. You will need to plumb in the spot for the vacuum line and a big spot for the stock bov if you keep it. or you can buy an aluminum replica of the original from corksport. I just did the 45* bend being it cost about 20 bucks in all, but you will need a dremel or somthing to do the holes.
Im not talking about the ducting, what i'm after is the Box it self, I've seen some aluminum boxes that are trick, and fit with front mounted intercoole piping, I have the corksport meatl inlet duct and I like it but what I want is the box that the air filter fits in .

I went with the Mariah set up

I came into the "box" from a different angle than most as I have custom piping from the Turbo. The box has markings for where to cut the hole in a standard install. Regardless, as pictured in the first photo, I recommend you do a test run cut on cardboard to confirm correct hole placement before you actually cut the Mariah piece.
I used the CARB approved K&N intake filter.

I just like the idea of it being a nice solid piece that isolates the air intake. I always wanted to buy it when I was still rotary powered.
