Look in the FAQ. There is a link to the FSM online.

Not an insult, but make sure the sensor is plugged in. It took me half a day to get my TII swap started and idling, all because I didn't have the AFM plug pushed together tight enough. If you didn't modify or relocate the AFM, I strongly recommend triple checking for a vacuum leak. I have fully removed emissions, and there have been several times my car started running like crap because a vacuum nipple split open. Hell, I even once found a golf ball-sized hole blown through the bottom of my turbo inlet duct. It took me several hours to locate simply because it wasn't easy to see, and because I never would have expected it. It's more likely the air is going through a perfectly functional AFM, and leaking out somewhere before the combustion chamber.

Its quite possible you have a bad tps. A resistance test on the afm will show if its bad. If it is bad there are pics and info on how to fix it out there. You might have to bend a few tabs inside because some times they fail. The mx-5 has the same set up only it runs more lean but the pics and info on repairing them is the same. If you search google you can find pics and info on it.

Why are you guys trying to blame sensors?
The OP is describing classic signs of a dead motor.
DO A COMPRESSION TEST FIRST BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME CHASING SENSORS.

well i dont think the motor is blown because it was running fine yesterday and i got it to hold an idle after holding the clip into the arm. as for the afm i did what the fsm said and everything was good except for what it said the resistence was suppose to be at fully open. it suppose to be zero and mine was 5ohms and i doupt thats the problem so now im stuck again. let me know what you think need some help i never had this happen before

A bad charateristic of rotor motors. No knocking noises to give you a hint. The apex seal just decides to rollover and take a trip out the exhaust. I had a first gen and was doing forty going to jury duty. Then it turned into a single rotor car and did about forty tops with pedal to the metal.
