Air conditioning
I was planning on tearing the air conditioning out of my car to free up some space and weight, but now im not 100% sure i want to and the people I talk to haven't helped me decide
Currently the a/c isn't charged so i can't use it yet anyways
So should I recharge it and enjoy it or tear it out and sweat away?

i have a drop top and ac... keep the ac.
your really not gaining much by removing it. 100 lb reduction of weight is something like 1 - 10th of a second faster in the quarter mile. or you could recharge it and drive around comfortably all summer long!

Air Conditioning and powerstearing are some of the few things i keep in my cars if they come with them. However if this car is purely for track then i would take it out otherwise that added comfort is worth its weight in gold in my eyes

putting it down daily
Vert in FLA. It's hot and humid as a fat kid's *** crack here. So yeah, A/C. Mine is converted from 12a to whatever the f@ck they put in it. P/S has been removed, however.

Pull it. I live in humid-*** NC, and I've learned to love it (forcefully) without working A/C since it stopped working on my DD. This probably seems kind of weird, but it gives me a better appreciation for A/C when I'm indoors.
I only feel sorry for my passengers (in my DD, not the 7) who aren't used to it.

I removed my (fully functional) AC and power steering last year and have rarely missed either (actually, the PS I don't miss at all).
Granted, there have been a few brutally hot days stuck in traffic where AC would be nice, but in general I feel the delete was for the best.
Keith didn't mention what kind of RX he's running...mine's a NA and running the AC was like tossing a boat anchor out the hatch. The car's (relatively) puny power and torque really took a hit with the AC engaged.
Removing the AC condenser improved airflow through the radiator considerably and gas mileage improved as well (although I'm aware that worrying about economy in a RX is pretty silly, this is my DD and every little bit helps).
IMO, there are also compelling underhood aesthetic improvements- although I wouldn't delete only for them- it's pretty amazing the pile of parts you end up with after removing both systems...I could finally see my spark plugs for instance.
Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.
After a lifetime of sports cars- none of which had AC- I just didn't care about the comfort that much, so the delete was a good choice for me.
If you do remove the AC (and/or the PS) at least take the time to remove it non-destructively so it could be reinstalled at a later date. It's really not that hard to do and a future buyer might want the option.

A/C isn't just for avoiding hot days - just try clearing your window of frost w/o it. A/C is on no matter whether you're heating or cooling your cabin. If you plan to drive the car as a utility vehicle, the A/C (IMHO) is mandatory.

Would've been helpful if the OP put where he's living at.
I'm in GA and while in college I thought that throwing it out would be nice (as Clokker mentioned: aesthetics, weight, ease of working in the engine bay).
However, since it's a DD for me, the last thing I want to do is arrive to work with a huge sweat spot on my back (or bring a change of clothes everyday).
So it all comes down to: where you live, what you're using the car for, and if you don't mind leaving the car sweating.

If u can live without it then do it. I f u want the full experience from a rotary & quicker revs without all those extra belts go for it(space is definatley attained with this) When i bought mine i knew full well that those power robbing peices would come out & to bo quite honest no power steering is awsome lol.

I have A/C but Its not charged and I believe it could have a leak. I don't want to take it out because I might want it later, but I can live without it so it may be going for sale in the future =P. Seriously though even if I am sweating to death I'd rather be able to open my windows and feel the wind. Part of the reason why I almost want to get a vert lol
