Ok,
finnaly got the 87 N/A sport model running. HOWEVER... It will switch back and forth from 2 diffrent idle characteristics...

1: Sometimes it will fire up, Rev to 3000, then... after a few minutes settle down to 1700 or 2000 RPM... (even after being driven around the block...)

THEN it will do this sometimes...

2: Start up fine, go thru cold start up cycle. Then DIE..
UNLESS I have the A/C running.. Then she idles fine at 750RPM...

Any Ideas? The car was up on ramps for 3 months. Battery did indeed DIE. I replaced:
Oil cooler lines,
A/C Logicon unit.
Installed an Electric Fan and removed the fan and fanclutch... (Fan works correctly, turns on with AC... and also activates correctly at the prescribed temperature...) Fan is relayed and fused and grounded. Main power drawn from the battery (fused) and +12V ign on power coming from the DIAG. port on the right side just above the Air filter.

 

check the AFM for start up phenomenon two.
