Question age question....hmmm

what is the average age of the fc owners on here? also do you guys think age matters when it comes to engine work or body work, pretty much anything with cars? i think it is the more experiance you have but i see other 17-18 years olds on here getting ripped on for their age instead of experiance. personally myself i have ripped apart a 12a engine, and several 4 bangers and did some body work and a paint job on my car. well i am just bored and asking questions so thanks.

I am 19 almost 20 I know more about rotary than **** on engines. I don't know much about body work or cosmetics though. I have taken apart a 13B and done 99% of the work on my cars.

i'm 17, I do ALL of the work on my car, including paint and body, I've been working on cars since I was 10, I was on the pit crew for a team with 3 dirt track cars at 12 years old, I rebuilt a 305 chevy by myself at 13 and haven't quit since. I got my first 7 last december and got the second one a couple months ago. I am about to ribuild the engine out of the first one, port and 3mm seals, and I am going to replace the clutch and flywheel in a few weeks.

23. Damn I'm old. And I'm doing my first major car work now. But you're never too old to learn. I hope that stays true. And I've done almost all of the work on my car (excepting of course the rebuild which I trusted to Kevin) too...

18, i pride myself on doing all my work and dedicating most of my efforts to keeping my car in tip top mechanical shape instead of ricing it out like so many of my peers (cant change oil, but they know how to install neon lights) i want my car to be fast and handle well but i also want to stay true to the beauty and genius that is the rotary engine and the rx7.

20.

Bought the car when I was 19. Never worked with a rotary before this, but I like them. I still like long stroke pushrods though

18, worked/rebuilt many pistons engine before.. 305,350.. etc on old chevy's.. then when I was about 15 I read about rotary engines.. ever since then I have been hooked.. look forward into rebuilding and porting my 13b. Even feel like buy a motor from junk yard just to open her up and play around.. but I'm short on money for now.

27.... Was around/worked on pisston engine sence I can remember. Growing up, the old man was always building up some 350 or 454, poping them in drag cars. Alot of nights at the track sipping on his beer at the age 5 & playing with the hot rubber on the slicks. I remember many nights as a young boy having to look around a 350 to see TV Trans. in the bath tub, mom hatted it.

I started young & had a good understanding of how a piston engine worked by the age 12. Rebuilt my 1st Holley carb at 13. Wasn't till about 21 the I found the Rotary. They have been moeny eatters ever sence.

19. Got my FC about a month ago. She's still at rx7store... I only got to drive her for a day after I bought her. I'm doing some mods as well when since she's in the shop and I'm in VA now. Can't wait until I get her back!!

I can do the simple work by myself, but nothing complicated. I'm still learning about rotaries

23, got my first 7 about a year ago and always do my own repairs and mods. I started messing around with engines when i was about 18 and did a couple of engine swaps on my old mk2 golf. if something does go wrong with the car and i dont know what it is or how to fix it i have a good search on here and check the fsm. this time last year i hadn't even seen a turbo but now i've just finished putting mine back on along with the entire intake system.
