Question Aftermarket temp sender

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/idea-water-temp-sender-location-turbo-cars-393210/

After reading this thread, I got to thinking as to where the best place to plumb in an aftermarket temp gauge sender would be. I initially thought it would be down on the side of the block but while fiddling with the sensor on the thermostat housing I realized that my aftermarket temp sender threaded in there perfectly. Elfking on this forum showed me his setup in which he utilized the 90 degree coolant hose for his aftermarket gauge.

Where is the most effective place to install a sender?

In a hole drilled and tapped in the rear of the water pump housing, next to the ECU thermosensor.
