dangit~~~ just lost my post. essentially though:

I figure it would cause problems. I am getting bad gas mileage. 8-10 in town and 12-15 highway. this was before RB turbo back. still bad gas mileage.

so~~~ would AFM cause that bad of gas mileage and why does it do it if it does.

most people say the s4 one is fine compleatly upside down. as long as it's level front/back. just don't put it sideways. either black part up or down.

S5 can go anyway

Scott 89t2 has it right people, even some other typres of cars come standard with the same AFM but 'upside down' ie. ford laser tx-3-mazda323 (turbo EFI ones)

I am still trying to visualize an upside down AFM... Wouldnt the placement of the plug have given you some idea that it was in the wrong position?

actually, I didn't put it on. My dad did. I think I will put it on this time~~~ I am thinking it may be my TPS, cause my idle started bouncing today~~~ I am thinking that TPS could cause bad gas mileage. but.... REALLY bad gas mileage?
