Afm

I just called my local mazda dealer and tried to get a afm for my 88 and they gave me a quote of $1200 for a reman. Does that sound right? I could get a emanage installed for half that and eliminate it.

Yeah I know the local wrecking yards are all fresh out of rx7s and so I thought I would just check on what a new one costs.

A new AFM will cost you quite a bit. A refurbished one will be slightly less but your better off looking in the parts section and get an AFM from a parts car. I got one awhile back for $50.

No.

Even the high-priced Mazdatrix ones only cost ~$900 for new.

For that Price you can Buy a WHOLE CAR that surrounds a USED AFM!..Do yourself a Favor..Click on to the SEC gen Parts For Sale Section (on THIS Forum),Post a Wanting to Buy thread,for an AFM..and sit back and Wait..they go for about 40 bucks,average..Hell,I got One If you want i!..40 bucks Shipped..(N/A AFM..good working Condition).

I found a used one from someone on craigslist. it was 25. I heard you can use one off a miata like early 90's ones but I heard they run lean.
