AE Turbo

Hey all just wanted to say that i am pretty excited about the FC that I took off of AE TURBO's hands. I am having it worked on at Rotech in Temple City, CA. I can't wait to drive it! I am new to RX-7's and hope to learn a lot from this forum.

Haha, man I thought I told you. It was gonna take me forever to save enough money to have the rebuild done. Realistically, like two years. I want to see the car back on the road, so I thought of selling the car whole. Before I could sell it, my brother asked for it. He has a lot of money saved up, so I gave him the car for free. That way, he would only have to pay for the price of the rebuild.

Right now it's at Rotech in Temple City. Nelson has already removed and stripped down the old engine block. The Mazda remans were on backorder, but they finally came off in the last week. All we have to do is wait for the other new parts like fuel injectors and OMP, etc. I'm guessing it should be done in the next week or two, depending on how fast he gets the parts.

My brother is adding: S-AFC, Blitz BOV, Walbro Fuel Pump, hi-flow cat, more... In addition to the parts that I already had on the car, the setup will be perfect for a fast, realiable FC.

My brother lives with me so it works out well. I still get to be a part of the car. The AE is going to be performing better than it's ever been when I had it. I would've hated to sell the car to some guy that might've possibly parted it out or something. It's a damn nice AE after all.

I drive a '95 Nissan Primera now. I'll have another RX-7 someday...maybe after I graduate. It's just impractical for my situation right now. At least the Primera is fun to drive with the SR20DE. It has a very precise suspension also. Even though the AE will kill me on the straights, I bet I can hang with my brother on the tight mountain twisties...

We will be in Angeles Crest Hwy often so let me know if you wanna cruise. How is your Project FC going??

The AE should rematch Joel's 944 Turbo. I bet it could beat it now...

MIKE..wow im glad you sold it to your bro. I bet if you sold it to some stranger especially here in LA that they wont take care of it the way you took good care of it. Atleast we can still go to meets with both of out FC.

My PROJECT FC is doing good so far. I with a friend with a 90 YELLOW NA started working on the rebuild last 3 weeks ago. Im now working on the send play. After than it will be bolt on..
