Question adjusting when the clutch engages?

ever since i got my new clutch and pressure plate in, it engages WAY sooner than it did before, like almost as soon as i begin to let it out...is there a way to adjust this so it engages later? thats how it was before the new clutch and pressure plate was put in and i like it a lot better that way

That's what happens when you put a new clutch in. A typical sign of a worn clutch is late engagement, so early engagement is a good thing.

As for adjustablility, I don't know but I doubt it.

I was fortunate to not have to make any adjustments when I upgraded my Clutch but I do remember an adjustment nut/bracket at the Pedal - specific for the question at hand.

Is the engagement kind of mushy? If so, I had the same problem when I put in my Centerforce clutch. I wound up replacing the slave cyl and bench-bleeding the whole system. Works great!

I believe there is an adjustment for pedal freeplay/height. And I further believe the directions for adjusting this, are in the Haynes manual. Check it out!

yah i already read the manual, and it seems you can only adjust the height etc of the pedal, it didnt seem like what it was showing was for when the clutch engages
