i hate to agree with the magus222. however, he gave you a chance when he said search.

of course you have a 13b, thats a 2 rotor engine. adding a rotor will make it a 20b. anyway it's way more sophisticated than just stacking pancakes. everyone would have an rx7 if it was that easy. use the search, wikipedia, google, ect.

Dude, search.
You can buy a 3 rotor engine that you can bolt in with some modifications.
Its called the 20B like they mentioned above.
There was a place up in canada that made a kit to put a third rotor on, but i dunno if they still make it.

Look man, you're better off spending money on other mods than a 20B at this point. Actually, just do some maintenance. Make sure that your car is running properly before you start modifying it.

Ok, no mas flaming, you can't get pissed off about ignorance. To give a straight answer: In theory; yes, you could just bolt on another rotor and another housing and an e-shaft and yada yada, but you'd have to be a freakin mechanical engineer with a specialty in car motors to get it to work. The way to do this is to get a 20b which is the motor that was in the cosmo i believe (flame on), which is what everyone is saying to ya. It's expensive and requires alot of work to do it, but it can be done.

I think I saw some place a website that sold a 3 or 4 rotor E-shaft but it was about $7000 I think or something rediculous. Although you need a lot more then just the shaft.

Unless your going 4 rotor, Getting a 20B Engine (3 Rotor Engine) is much cheaper then putting the peices together.

Hurley Engineering I believe has a 10 rotor engine they make. I think they also have a 5 or 6 rotor engine too.

You would need to fabricate an oil pan, intake manifold, special center housing and eccentric shaft. Only a few special fabricators in the world do this successfully. You could also buy the critical parts, but as others have pointed out, it would be cheaper and easier just to buy a used 20B engine. The engine bolts directly to the transmission, but the engine mounts must be fabricated, and there is a LOT of other work required to run the engine. Plan on at least $10,000 and about 1 year for the project if you can do all the work yourself, but based on your question you will need help, and a full professional conversion is about $35,000 and takes about 3 months.

A non-turbo 20B makes about 200hp on a stock ghetto setup, and can get into the 500hp range in full peripheral port mega-expensive race configuration. A turbocharged 20B usually makes about 250-400hp in the stock configuration, up to 550hp when ported and well tuned with rebuilt stock turbos, and well over 1000hp in full peripheral port mega-expensive race configuration.

Thread cleaned up, warnings issues, etc. etc.

Evil Aviator basically covered it. Yes, a 20B can be created by picking up the 20B thick iron, 3rd rotor, housing and 20B eccentric. By the time you've taken care of all the misc stuff (oh, like intake manifolds, oil pan, etc.) it would have been far easier and cheaper to start with a "real" 20B.

Loads of info on swapping the 20B into the 2nd gen in the 20B forum (subforum of the Rotary Performance forum).

It's not true. Simple as that. It's not like sticking a wing on your car, at the very least you'd have to change numerous deep engine and electronics components. Not cheap, not simple, not easy.

^^^and I see Aaron basically covered all that already.
