ACV Gaskets
I pulled apart my ACV and cleaned it all up, but apparentley they don't make replacement gaskets. What is a good gasket material to use to make them and does anyone have templates?

Just a roll of gasket paper from the auto store plus an exacto knife and a marker/penci/pen.
As in ...lay the ACV on the paper and mark around it with a pencil/pen/marker.
The holes? Wet the ACV mating surface with a film of vaseline then lay it on the paper and press down. Lift the ACV off and you have the outline of the holes. Mark the outlines and apply the exacto knife to the paper.

Easiest way is to get your hands dirty and then place a clean sheet of paper on the Valve. Then rub your fingers over the paper where you see the shadow of the valve. Don't move the paper and you'll have a picture of the gasket surface. Cut paper out and use to trace on gasket paper.

Thanks all. My biggest concern was a clearance issue. With the two solenoid valves on the ACV I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be an issue of the valves opening the plunger to much or not enough or not closing completelywith the thickness of the gasket material that it would make a difference.

Talked to Mazdatrix before I started this thread and they said they aren't made because it's not a serviced item. I guess mazda'a perspective is to toss it away and get a new one. the only part associated with this that a spare parts are made for is the solenoid swithces and the check valve.
