Acv

Is it supposed to make funny noises when revving? Listend to it under the hood, and it sounds like ... umm... a hamster being thrown into a meat grinder

An ACV making noises?? Hmm ive never heard of the AVC making noise, you know i heard my freinds airpump the other day and it sounds exactly like what your describing, and plus the ACV is pretty close to it so i think it might be your airpump. Did you disconnect the tube from the airpump to the airbox?? Cuz you start to hear the airpump a lot more if that hose isint on.

Nope, its connected pretty well. Not that it bothers me. But it might bother me if I fail emissions next year

BAH nuts to ACV. Unless you have too pass a visual you don't even need it to pass emissions. I have all of my emissions removed. Once a year I put back on both cats/airpump and then run a hose from the airpump down by the turbo into the main cat. Worked just fine
Oh and the airpump can make some funky noises.
