Question ACT Racing Clutch

I'm soo confused on what clutch to get..... My 87 TII is my daily driver, but I want a racing clutch... Anyone know of a good one! I got directed to the Clutchcityonline.com but I'm still kind of confused! I've heard that a 6 puck disk, is a bitch to use and it could kill the flywheel quicker, but ppl love it........ But I was thinking about a 4- puck disk............ Any thoughts on a good clutch would be helpful........

i have an ebay special 6 puck sprung and i love it.. i will prolly get anouther when this on is dead.. oh yea
i would image that a 4 puck would tear up a flywheel worse than a 6 puck....

i have a 4 puck sprung hub from racing beat and it works just fine for street driving. a little shakey on starts but once it gets going it's perfectly fine.

What about the clutches without pucks, its just a full disk? How good are those?

puck clutches are hella fun to drive, but for a daily driver IMO I would go with the normal clutches. Overall ACT ftw!!

Well I'm also during the summer going to be going to the drag strip, more likely every 2 weeks, normal clutch would be best still?

if u dont have a highly moded car go with a stage 2 kit that will give u a stiffer plate with a continous disc... then it wont be so harsh on engauge..

I sell spec and clutch masters.. check my for sale thread to get priced on spec clutches

I dont like ACT myself. Never have had one that I really was impressed with. The best clutch Ive used so far is Spec Stage 2. Im installing a clutch right now and Im going Centerforce Duel Friction. Cheap, good hold and light pedal from what Ive heard. Overall Id say best buy is Spec clutches
