ACID IS FUN! (No not that kind)

Well a good buddie of mine told me a great way to get rid of corrosion and surface rust. MURIATIC ACID. It gets rid of all your surface rust, and any bolt or metal piece that has a small amount of corrosion on it will be gone in seconds. ITS GREAT

If you buy 65%-100% pure, be VERY CAREFULLY. It's highly caustic and inhaling it is very bad. Trust me i KNOW. But yes it does eat up rust too. Also good for getting rid of roots in your sewage drain. and degreasing concrete. Better to dilute it with water. and if you DO use to remove oxidation, rinse it off thouroughly if not it'll corrode worse and quicker than before.

As for the roots in your sewer comment. I can't be held liable for the EPA and local violations that might be incurred if someone caught you using that. But that's just me saying........what do i know.

I have a friend whose family opens a car care shop. They use professional grade acid (properly mixed to remove rust) to get rid of corossion. They will, however, leave some white dots on iron and steel.

That is why you take some sort of base, like baking soda to neutralize the acid and then wash it off.

Yes muratic acid will clean or destroy just about anything. Battery acid (sulferic) works on rust too and is less likely to skrew up something (including yourself).

I have had muratic acid burn out all of my nose hair before, its some powerful stuff (and no I didn't try to sniff it).
