AC pulley bearing question

I have a pulley making noise, it’s the one for the ac compressor, the one that adjusts for belt tightness. Unfortunately Ray Crowe says pulley and bearing NLA. Anyone else ran into this issue and have a solution?

The pulley is not available. The bearing is an off-the-shelf bearing. You can knock it out and replace it

Just bought one

Is this the pulley your referring to? I just bought a new one (and the one for the PS) for my 1988 on rock auto.

Well that's just cheating... thanks for finding those! Definitely the easiest way of doing this.

I don't remember what size the bearings are, I just knocked them out and read the numbers. If you do that, just make sure the replacement bearings are sealed on both sides. When I did this a couple years ago, shielded bearings were showing up in the online results far more often, and that was all O'Reillys could get ahold of. Just make sure to double check the description, or order the whole pulley like he did.

I’m lazy... kinda

Yeah I’m lazy. Lol. But also I found that one of the pulleys you can knock out no problem. The other pulley it more difficult to get the bearing out because the factory used a chisel to make three dimples to prevent the bearing from coming out. So I just figured the new pulleys where easier

Awesome gentleman many thanks!
Ray Crowe sent me a pulley, matched factory part number. The diameter of the bearing was too small.
Hopefully the Rock Auto one will fit.

You guys know if the bolt that secures the pulley is available, or a replacement?
